On the 12th October 2021, over 30 participants took part in the webinar “AskREACH for retailers – Managing SVHCs in articles on your shelves and the “Right to know” of your clients” organised by the REACH&CLP Helpdesk Luxembourg.

During this webinar, Laurène Chochois from the REACH&CLP Helpdesk Luxembourg presented the legal context of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) and notably the “Consumers Right to Know” described in REACH Article 33(2). Oona Freudenthal from the REACH&CLP Helpdesk provided an overview on the AskREACH project and its goal at strengthening the B2C communication on SVHCs in articles.

Following these presentations, Mrs. Ingrida Bremere from Baltic Environmental Forum (BEF) Latvia presented the offer of the project to retailers, who may benefit of free training and support on SVHC management and communication to their clients.

To close this session, Mrs. Besa Kokonozi, from the Chemical Customer Sevice of a large sports goods retailer Decathlon, presented insights to the SVHC management and communication within their organisation.
