The European Commission has just opened a consultation concerning the safety of children’s products (excluiding toys) and the requirements to be met by European standards.

The draft Commission Decision should include new requirements to be met by European standards for children's products and related products insofar as risks or categories of risks are not covered by Directive 2009/48/EC on the safety of toys.
