On the Luxembourg Open Days, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) opens the doors of its laboratories on 18 September 2022.

Throughout the day, from 10:00 to 18:00, LIST will welcome visitors to Belvaux, in the heart of its laboratories, where workshops on some of LIST's research themes will be offered to young and old alike.

Among the workshops, our team will be present two topics evolving around chemicals in the daily life.

For the first topic, with the REACH&CLP Helpdesk, we offer basic information related to hazardous chemicals and how they are labelled.

The second topic is also related to hazardous chemicals, where we use our Scan4Chem app to scan consumer article to find out whether it contains Substances of Very High Concern in concentra­tions above 0.1 %. This applies to toys, furniture, carpets, sport shoes, textiles, electronic devices and many other consumer arti­cles.
