On the 15th April 2021, over 30 participants took part in the webinar “AskREACH supplier platform – Your contribution to the “Right to know” of consumers” organised by the REACH&CLP Helpdesk Luxembourg.

During this webinar, Laurène Chochois from the REACH&CLP Helpdesk Luxembourg presented the legal context of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) and notably the “Consumers Right to Know” described in REACH Article 33(2). Oona Freudenthal from the REACH&CLP Helpdesk provided an overview on the AskREACH project and its goal at strengthening the B2C communication on SVHCs in articles.

Following these presentations, Louis Deladiennee from the IT for Innovative Services (ITIS) department of the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) presented a demonstration of the AskREACH supplier platform, helping companies to get an overview on the AskREACH system.

After the demonstration, Ben Pearson from VF International then presented their experience on using the AskREACH system and how the system has helped VF International to answer the requests of their customers.

To close this session, Leonie Lennartz from the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, Sofia, introduced on how the supply chain communication can be future proofed by the traceability of chemicals.
